Hi there! I'm having trouble finding the "meaning" and "origin"
of my neices name.

Her name is Chandalyn. We've been looking for several hours and with
not much luck. She needs this for an assignment and any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated! :)

Have you tried asking her parents first, where they got the name from? They must have gotten it from somewhere. Have your niece start her assignment by "interviewing" her parents.

Perhaps the name might be an invented, combining form of "Chandra " and "Lynn ", signifying "Moon Lake ".
