Can anyone tell me what the Irish name Ribh means, and how do you pronounce it?

as far as i know, ribh in arabic means gain or profit. i looked up Ribh in a irish/ennglish dictionnary and the closest word i got was:ribheid which means "a reed, bagpipe reed, musical note, Irish ribheid; from Middle English re@-od, now reed". don't know if that helps... btw, is Ribh a girl or boy's name?

I think Ribh is a girl's name -at least, my friend's sister seems to think so...she called her daughter Ribh.
