There's a girl in my class called "Bihter". It is prononced bish-tairr. I know that she is Turkish. What's the meaning of her name?

I found a site, www.turkishculture.org which listed Turkish names and their meanings here:

According to this, Bihter means "most good". Can't vouch for its accuracy, but it's something! :-)

They're obviously refering to a Persian word that means 'better'.
Good= bih
Better = bihtar (or behtar)
Best = bihtareen (behtareen)
