Maybe, but in countries that WON the stinkin war, Yuri is a Russian variant for George .

1. The Japanese lost bubkes. Look at them today.2. "Yuri " also means lesbian, as in "yuri manga".

Yuri is also a nickname for the name Euripides.
Euripides? Eufixides!
