Budimka-Serbian
I'd like to find out the meaning of my first name. I'm Serbian and my name is Budimka but my parents also called me Budica. It's rather rare even in Serbia. In the time of my birth, the custom was for the God parents to name the children and so my God parents gave it to me naming me after a relative of theirs. I am from the northern part of Serbia, specifically the town called Banatsko. This is near Kikienda or Novi Sad.

My guess is
it's derived from "bud-" - wake up or be awake. I think the connotations are "the one who opens people's eyes" rather than the literal "the one who is awake"
