Hi Lumia,In Germany, the name Ital derives from the Old High German word îtal meaning 'unsophisticated, pure'. A more common form today is Eitel.In Switzerland, Ital can be either this German name or a variant form of Italo.

Just curious...I am just curious: Do you have books about names that list even such old and/or rare names, or did you manage to find the information on the Internet somehow?
