Somebody told me, ARI means "ant" in Japanese. - Can anybody confirm this? Rene maybe?

Yes, Ari is a Japanese girls' name. For questions like this I like to look at a site (it's entirely in Japanese) which lists over 118,000 Japanese girls' names with every known Kanji spelling. There are 37 different kanji spellings of Ari given; however, none of them is the Kanji meaning "ant"!
