What does the name "Alimi" mean? I know that "Alim" is an Arabic name meaning scholar. Is "Alimi" a variation of this name? There is an actor named Alimi Ballard (Numb3rs, TV series).

Alimi is also a Chewa/Nyanja word for "farmers" (singular "mlimi").

I do not know for sure. I have no reference for this. But in a matter of opinion. I would say yes this is the feminine form of Alim.
