In such cases it is possible to use Google to find people with a certain name, by using the name together with a frequent family name and surrounding both with quotes "" (which tells Google to deliver only results where the name and the family name stand together).
E.g a search for "Cub Miller" does not have any interesting results, but a search for "Cub Jones" turns up a few persons with this name, e.g. this one that lived a while ago:

However, Cub used as a given name almost certainly is very, very rare.
