I came across this name in my family tree, and I wonder what it might mean? Mordian was my great uncle, and he was English/French and Welsh. His mother came from Wales. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

It does sound welsh. It's probably a variante of
Morgan
, but I'm not sure.

Why would it be a variant of Morgan?
Can
you please provide some evidence?
