Hallo,
I was wondering if anyone has any information at all on the name "Soenke". I have only seen the name once, and I have been looking all over the web for the definition. I believe that it is of German origin. I would appreciate any info on it! Thanks!

German name SOENKE
The derivation of this German name seems to be debated. I found this:
a) Short form of names with the Germanic element SUN; tghis again might be from Germanic *sunja = true, or else form Germanic *sônô = judgment
b) "little son"
c) maybe connented to Old High German SUNNA (sun)
