Cecily/Cecilia
I know these names mean blind, but I thought I once heard somewhere that they mean blind as in 'Justice is blind'. Does anyone know if that is true, or do they literally mean blind as in cannot see?
Thanks!
Thanks!

blind as in physically unable to see
However, I don't know if the word caecus is ever used to refer to metaphorical blindness.

What does Balbina mean, then?

I just realised that Balbina is not on the data base. Sorry! It means "stammering, stuttering". Not very flattering either.
St. Balbina was a (probably legendary) 4th cent. martyr.

Are you saying BALBINA means "strong"? Or "girl"? Where did you read this? I'm sure you've done some research - I just wonder: where?
Are you searching more information about the surname of your great grandmother? Your message seems a little confusing to me.
