Re: Popularity

I think Paris will gain a little popularity over the next couple years, but eventually the place name trend will quiet down, and it will fade away. I don't think it will ever be in the top 100, because too many people would absolutely not use it because of Paris Hilton.
I think MacKenzie's day has come and gone, actually. It is very much a 90's name to me. I think similar names like Makenna, McKinley, and Kinsey will replace it.
London will probably gain as a boy name (because it's similar to Landon) and as a girl name (similar to Paris). I don't like the name. It's a city, to me. I can't imagine someone named London actually going to London.
India will definitely gain in popularity. I could see this between 100 & 200 on the Top 1000 list. I dislike the name, because, again, I can't imagine an India visting India. It seems that most people who like it have never been to India. So it makes no sense that they would use it as a name.
I don't think Jetta will get too popular. It's a car, to most people. I do think we'll see a lot more baby boys named Jett, though.
