I recently became aware of the name Chanson. Which I thinkis French for "song lyric".

Does anyone else have any info on Chanson as a name?

See "Chanson de Roland [Rollant]"; canera (Latin); cantar (Spanish); Chanter (French); chantons (Old French); all are shown in the infinitive verb forms of "to sing".
