Re: Miss Claire,
"Most people would agree with what I said in the post"I'm sorry, but I disagree, I stand by what I said. I realise that religion dictates your life, but it does not dictate most peoples' lives to the extent that they will persecute a child for the meaning of her name - at least in Western society where this child's parents no doubt live.Additionally: You said "My post wasn't offensive". I just told you that it was offensive, because I was offended by it.

Persecuting? Wow... O_o
No, they'll just make little comments or even just think bad of the family. It's enough to make it hard for the child. Probably not more difficult than a Gertrude-Bertha Scolastica or La-lysha Haelyy but if he had talked about these names it would have been ok to criticize. But Thea is cool, it shows an "open spirit", right? LOLI understand that you were offended by my post, but I just read it again and it wasn't offensive at all.
Look at this post and these answers. This is what I call offensive: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=71330&board=gen
Run and go lecture them! (I'm sure you won't, since they're not criticizing the kind of name you can't criticise).Incredible...

I would have to agree with Miss Claire.
Maybe the opinion board would have been a better place to say that, but it's not that big of a deal. Calm down people! :) It's really not worth arguing over.

Thank you.
Of course the opinion board would have been better, but since I had no occasion of saying it there I had to say it here. :)
