ALSEDEE???

Does anyone know the meaning of the name: ALSEDEE? I have a friend and I am interested in knowing the meaning of his name. I have been to many websites and I cannot find the origin nor the meaning of his name. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

the name meaning ?????????????????is this the correct spelling because sometimes it says it cant be found in the word bank

Is your friend male or female? What is his or her ethnic background and where was he or she born? Have you asked him or her where the parents found the name?

there'a a names in my French-speaking area-Alcid. Male, and more common about 60 years ago. any help?

My friend is an African-American male born in the San Francisco bay area in the 1970s. I am not very close to his parents.
