Archivesnot sure of the name
I am dating a guy...and I have no clue what his last name means...and I have no clue as to what origin it is, or anything...the last name is Soppi...thats it, I don't know where its from...or where it originated, maybe I'm weird trying to find what my boyfriends last name is, but if I marry him, I want to know what it means.

Perhaps you could ask him. If he doesn't know the meaning, he should at least know if his family came originally from Finland or the Trobriand Islands or wherever. That would give you something to work on.

Id so it could mean "a small and peaceful space" (http://www.soppi.info/english.php), not an obvious qualification for a good husband :P
