I want to know the origin of this name. It was my grandmother's maiden name. I remember finding out that our ancestors came from Prussia. I believe it could be GERMAN. am i right?
According to Hans Bahlow's German Names, Dillmann is a German surname. It goes back to a medieval pet form of Dietrich, the same name which became Derek in English.
