Has anybody heard the name "Laterose" before? I heard it recently and imediatly thought that it was a truly beautiful way to render "Rose", can anyone present some info on it?

Laterose is the full name of a mouse from the woodland kingdom of Noonvale in Brian Jacques Redwall novels. I've not heard of it anywhere else so I assume it comes from this, maybe from fans of the books taking it up. I do think it's nice but I couldn't imagine naming my child it! It's a bit too fantasy for me.
