it's the other way round:
Drew is taken from Andrew, but as Andrew is Andreus, Matthew is Mattheus and Bartholomew is Bartholomeus, Alexandreus is Alexandrew.
Alexandrew is already a name by itself.

What I am trying to get at, is that while names already exist in other places it isnt through actual exposure to these anmes do parents use them.
Some parents 'create' the name by combining elements from names they like so that Alexander and Andrew combined as 'Alexandrew' by adding Alex to the begining of Andrew.
That was my point, not trying to say that was how the name came to be but how that particular persons parents may have come to use the name.
