I am looking for other people with my first name, LaJunta. I am 41 and have never met anyone with my name. Also, if any one knows the meaning, I would be interested.Thanks

"La Junta" commonly means "the meeting" or "the board". Your parents must have had a good reason to call you by such a name!

I second everything that Mar said, and also La Junta is a city in Otero County, Colorado, United States. . . .

Junta means "together" in Spanish, I don't think the prefix La has a special menaing (other than it means "the" in some languages).
