Merewin
Yeah, another Mer- name. I'm sick :-P
Does anyone have any info on origin/meaning of this one?
Google gets me someone who claims it's Cornish for 'maiden' but I can't take that at face value; it's obviously a surname as well.

Firstly, want to make it quite clear that I'm making educated guesses here! :-D
"Mer-" in both Old English and Welsh names tends to indicate the sea.
"Win" in Old English names means "friend" and in Welsh names means "white, fair".
So it could be "sea friend" or "white sea" depending on its origin. Finding the origin is the tricky bit!
