French (or somewhat French) girls' name

I'm looking for some info on the girls' name Micaëlle (mee-ka-elle) which I believe to be French, though it's not common at all judging by these sources:

Is it very modern, or considered 'genuine' in general? Would it normally be spelt with the accent, Micaëlle, or without? Has anyone come across it in real life?

It would be pronounced similar to Michael because it has a similar 'ae' spelling. My best guess is that it is 'mi-kelle' or 'my-kelle' in English, similar to 'Michael'. But in French it would be more like "Mee-kelle".

It would be spelt with the accent if it is pronunced mee-ka-elle
