Well this is funny caleb cant say Isabelle so he calls Her IS-Ball. LOL Is there any other nick name that we could use instead! Though it is cute but you know I would like something better!

I was also going to suggest nick-naming her "Izzy ". As to Nanaea 's remark about "baring your teeth in a frightening manor and screaming",however jokingly, isn't the answer. As someone who works with kids, I've learned the best thing you can do is keep saying her name correctly yourself, and eventually he will learn to say it, too. It's just like him trying to learn any other word. But, I still like the name "Izzy ".

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think I will have to try Izzy just because it could be easier for Caleb . Though IS-BALL is funny. But I dont want him to keep saying that! And Nan I will teach him to say Isabelle , but I wont be that harsh lol. I will tell him that his Auntie Nan said he has to learn how to say her name right! LOL

Good! And if he cries, tell him he'd better stop because his Auntie Nan says there's a great, big Boogie Monster who listens veeeeeery sharply for the sound of little children crying. And, when the Boogie Monster hears crying, he follows the sound until he finds the crying children. And, once he finds them, HE EATS THEM UP!

If that doesn't work, tell him that Auntie Phyl has a few friends who would like to visit. There are THOUSANDS of spirits who like to deal with naughty children. I think Joseph Bruchac wrote a book of horror stories based on Native spirits. I don't remember it off the top of my head, but...

I would start training Caleb right now to enunciate his sister's name correctly. Everytime he lisps "IS-Ball", just bare your teeth in a frightening manner and SCREAM at him: "HER NAME IS IS-A-BELLE! IS-A-BELLE! GET IT RIGHT!" until he cries.

I don't know if I ever told you this, but one of my God daughter's name is Isabelle , and when she was first born, her cousin couldn't pronounce it, so we called her Izzy . I always thought that was cute for the little kids to call her.
