Does anyone know of nicknames used in France for Genevieve? Any help is appreciated, but I am looking for 'classic' names such as would be used before the 20th century. Is there a French cognate for Jenny?

Well, I'm not French, so I dunno about French nns, but what I can think of is:

Genny
Vivi, Vivvy,
Neva

Vivi maybe... I can't think of another one, we rarely use nicknames...
Jenny has been used since the 1870 I would say.

Gene, not pronounced like Jean is a possibility. Just guessing though.

In my story, Dragon Sacrifice, the heroine is a girl named Genevieve, her nickname is Genny. She is sacrificed to a dragon, but the dragon doesn't eat her, he's in love with her.
