I need a name for my expected baby any ideas?
My baby is due in a few weeks and I haven't decided on a name. I want something unusual but am stuck for ideas. I am fed up of reading lists of names and need some fresh ideas. I do not know the sex of my baby and am getting frustrated please help!

If its a boy, what about Malcolm Ryan, I know hardly anyone with those names. What about Gloria May, or Jolie Ann?

The J. M. Barrie approachHi Donna ,I think you should consider the names Peter and Wendy . None of the names as much as feature on the list of the 100 most popular names in the US anno 2000. On the list of the 1000 most popular names in the US anno 2000 Peter still does not appear while the name Wendy only hold place number 319!
So as you can see both are "neglected" names which need to be used more.Peter means rock and Jesus even makes a word play out of it even though that can best be appreciated in Greek. In greek you can make a word play with Peter and rock because they sound very similar (Petros, Petra )
"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter , and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
(Matt 16, 18)Wendy was, as far as I remember, a name invented by J.M . Barrie himself or rather he brought it to public knowledge. It was truly invented by a the daughter of one of his friends. The girl used to call Barrie for her friendy, yet the way she pronounced it it sounded almost like the word "Wendy ".

Thats one of my favorite New Testament bits - Jesus involved in "jeux de mots," the closest he ever came to horsing around:)
Too bad he never delved into anagrams :(

Well why not :)As the son of God I bet he would have been able to make some rather surprising anagrams!
*smiles*
Perhaps he even did that but the evangelists thought:
"Nahh Jesus making anagrams of "Fisherking" might not really fit in"Not that long ago I saw a movie trying to present an interpretation of the life of Jesus and I was happy to see that the authors presented Jesus in situations where he e.g. had fun with the disciples as they were walking from town to town.
We never hear much of what they did on the way so why not.
Perhaps he anagrammed some:)

Hi, Selwyn . I think you might want to check that Year 2000 list one more time. "Peter " ought to be showing up in the #124 ranking.-- Nanaea

Ooops you sure are rightAnd I who thought I had been so careful.
Well good thing that someone check up on what I am saying correcting such silly mistakes.
Well I still like Peter and think that it should get a chance to feature among the 100 most chosen names anno 2001

How about an anagram name? If you don't mind telling me what the baby's last name will be, and then tell me the title of a favorite song of yours, or a favorite book, or a favorite quote, or a favorite *anything*, I'll see if I can anagram a meaningful name to reflect that.-- Nanaea

On second thought...Let's switch the "a" and "e" in "Rosa Chantel Turner"and make it: "Chantal Rose Turner"That has a better rhythm to it.-- Nanaea
