In the Sikh religion, "Nimarta" (meaning "humility") is one of the five essential qualities necessary for human beings to possess in order to overcome the barriers (or vices which lead to "bad karma") in their present life, that they may eventially break the cycle of reincarnation.
The other four qualities (which make interesting names, as well) are: "Santokh" (contentment), "Dan" (charity), "Daya" (kindness), and "Parsanta" (happiness).
