Nox - Dutch roots?
Replies
It’s most likely a creative spelling of Knox. The Dutch would pronounce Knox with a hard K instead of a silent K hence just getting rid of the letter K entirely. It also looks more like another popular name, Jax.

I recommend taking a look at the submitted entry of Noks and comparing it with Nox, even though the former is a feminine name and extremely rare in the Netherlands:

By making a quick Google search in Dutch, I could find three different theories:
1. A direct derivation from the Roman name.
2. A variant of Knox.
3. A short form of Lennox, which seems plausible, since Lennox has somewhat risen in popularity in modern times.

Unfortunately, the Nederlandse Voornamenbank doesn't provide the meaning of Nox, so I had to get the theories from baby name websites.

Thank you so much!
Pushing this up, in case anyone has an idea :)
