Cool questionnaire, Lulu. I'll probably fill it out later. I dunno 'bout the bit with ascribing qualities to different names, coz I either like a name or I don't -- I never really get any other "vibes" about someone from their name, as regards their intelligence or personal appearance or stuff like that. Maybe you ought to check out the Kabalarians, as well, to get their spin on name perception:

Hi Nanaea - i guess i ought to explain some of the questions (without spoiling the idea of asking them ?!?)
There's a hypothesis by some linguists that people of the same socio-linguistic group would ascribed similar features to certain names (for example while Elizabeth could be an 'aristocratic' person, Betsy is probably your next-door-neighbour - which can influence your idea of a person bearing those names). So i'm not really interested in the character of someone called Elizabeth or Betsy but in the perception of the names themselfs... (sorry if this is still a bit fuzzy, it's almost two o'clock in the morning....
So again: i'd really aprecciate it if ALL OF YOU OT THERE could fill out my questionnaire on http://www.geocities.com/lulu_swizz/Names.html
Bye, Lulu

Yep, I got your drift, Lulu. :) I was just saying that for me, personally, I don't ascribe any imagined features or qualities to any particular names. Well, other than what I might consider to be a "feminine" sounding name as opposed to a "masculine" sounding name. But even then, that can get kinda hazy.
I simply either like a name, or I don't. Same as with people. :)
