Story takes places in before pandemic England, 2018.
Poppy Phillips - British 14-year-old girl, She loves Instagram and playing video games, like Minecraft and Fortnite, she's quite tomboy.
Zainab Shah - 14-year-old British-born Pakistani Poppy's on-and-off best friend. She likes make-up and having crushes on male anime characters. She believes that Fortnite and Minecraft are "stupid over-adverted wastes of gaming", but keeps it a secret because of Poppy. She sometimes likes Poppy, but she turns against her if she takes things too far, calling her "Stupid S**t" or "Poppy Pain-In-The-***". Her favourite shows are Netflix tv series.
Liam Dobson - A gay friend of Poppy, and a FIFA fan. He usually refuses to stop playing FIFA to do important things like preparing for school and other stuff like that. Although his parents have gotten him many different games like Mario or GTA (don't ask how they let him play that game), he won't lay a finger on them. When he's unable to play FIFA, he basically just watches sports like fathers do. He likes to drink energy drinks, which gives him the ultimate energy boost he needs to play his hands off. He has a crush on Adam Powell.
Adam Powell - A friend of Poppy and Liam. He is gay and has a crush on Liam, later Liam's boyfriend. He is a Liam's opposite. He doesn't like sport, he likes mostly feminine interests like make-up and fashion.
Oliver Butler - Poppy’s school bully who is having his a** wrecked by Poppy in Fortnite. He now does anything to humiliate Poppy.
