Croatian nick-name Thithic
My grandfather immigrated from Croatia in 1910. He was Croatian. His given name was Ivan and his surname Skvorc, BUT... his family called him "Thithic". I was told that this was a "common" Croatian nick-name. However, looking on the internet, I have been unable to find ANY occurrence of Thithic except that there are people using it on Reddit and maybe Instagram or Facebook. One of those people was a Japanese girl. I'm trying to find out ANYTHING about that name associated with it being Croatian. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Croatian does not have th's (neither the sound nor the grapheme). Can you explain were you got "Thithic" from (written records or did you hear it) and how it is pronounced (besides the th's, I am also interested in the final letter c)?
