As Tibby says below, Tauba is probably just one of many different forms of the Jewish female given name which is based on the Yiddish word for "dove." Its similarity to the Arabic name is just a coincidence.
Yiddish had several different dialects with different pronunciations of certain vowels, and so there are often multiple different English spellings of Yiddish names. Toibe, Toiba, Tyba, Teibe, and Taube are some of the other variations of Tauba that turn up.
