For all I know, Taube is a Jewish name, that derives from the German "Taube", meaning "dove". Basically a feminin, Yiddish verion of Jonah.
In the Hamadrikh (Rabbi's guide to female Jewish names, published in 1939) I came upon Toiba, which also means "dove" (at least according to this page).
So I think, there is no etymological connection between the names.
