Vinyet
I noticed this girls' name in the Spanish top 500, and I'm curious as to where it comes from. My guess is that it's a modern name, but if anyone has any info on it, I'd appreciate it!

I'm Spanish and I was surprised to see it on the chart, I've never heard or seen it before.
After a little research I could find it's the name of a sanctuary (Santuari del Vinyet) in Sitges, Barcelona, and I assume the usage was influenced by that (cf. Ares, which is also the name of a sanctuary in Catalonia).
In addition, vinyet is the Catalan word for "vineyard".
I wouldn't say it's modern, it was barely used at the start of the 50s but started to rise in the 90s.
