Edell and Romelda
I am wondering if anyone has information on these names.
Both names are female, and both hail from the 1920s. Both women are Norwegian - one born in Norway, one born in the US. I am thinking that Edell has something to do with edelweiss, but I'm not sure about Romelda.

Romelda is probably related to Romilda.
That makes a lot of sense. They found the name in an old newspaper, her aunt actually found it. She wasn't sure if it was the correct spelling or not. She'll enjoy knowing the history of her name, thank you.
Edell is more than likely a variant of Edel: https://www.nordicnames.de/wiki/Edel_f
Thank you. This is fantastic, she will really love this information.
