What is the meaning of the name Malcolm? Also need info for name Angus. (they are my sons and I have some info for Angus but other than the band AC/DC, I can't find much about Malcolm--I know its Scottish).

Malcom is an anglicization of the Scottish Gaelic name Mael Caluim, meaning "servant of St. Columba." Angus is an anglicization of the Scottish Gaelic name Aonghus, a form of an anceient name meaning, perhaps "one choice."

Thank you for the response! That is great information. Do you have a source (namebook or whatever) or do you just know these things?

Thanks again--I think my sons will enjoy knowing these meanings as well as the Gaelic origins of their names.
