Meaning of NORENCISH

I have a friend who has a very unusual middle name; he believes it to be of Norwegian-Scandinavian descent. I have hunted for it's meaning all over the web - to no avail. It could be a combination of NOR + ENCISH but really have no idea. Can anyone out there decipher the possible entimological meaning of this name? Thank you so much.

The only thing vaguely resembling this name I could find was Norensis, and having never come across it before, I am uncertain about how good or bad the site I found it on is.

It's definitely not Scandinavian. To me it looks like misspelled German.
