I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. What is it you need help with? If it's the translation it seems you've got it right, since Iqaluit ᐃᖃᓗᐃᑦ is the plural form of iqaluk ᐃᖃᓗᒃ meaning "fish", so Iqaluit does seem to translate to a "place of many fish".

ᐃᖃᓗᒃ does mean Arctic char according to an Inuktitut dictionary. That dictionary does not give a translation for the proper name, though: it only says it is the capital of Nunavut.
