I am the Prof. Narnia Bohler-Muller you refer to and I can tell you an interesting story about my name. When my mother studied Latin at University she came across the name of a small town called Narnia situated on the river Nar in what was then Imperial Rome and birthplace of the philosopher Pliny. I think this is the original source of the name. She then read the Land of Narnia books by CS Lewis and later she dated my father at a pink coffee shop in Rocky Street Johannesburg called Narnia. She fell in loe with the name and that is how it began and ended.
