Titov is a Russian surname which seems to be derived from Tit (the Russian form of Titus) meaning "son of Tit/Titus"./ Titova is the feminine form of the surname. Titus comes from an Ancient Roman given name of unknown meaning though it has been linked to Latin titulus meaning “title of honor” or Latin titio “fire-brand”.
