Lann
I recently came across Lann as an Irish female given name, and the name of several Irish princesses (also spelled Land) and I was wondering what the meaning behind it might be. From what I could find, lann is an Irish word meaning "land", but it's also an Old Irish and Scotch Gaelic word meaning "blade, sword". I think it's more likely that the meaning is the latter rather than the former but if anyone knows for sure please let me know. Thanks.
