I need to find out the meaning of a name!!!

Hello everyone!My grams gave me a name for my new baby and I have no idea what it means. I would like to do some research on it. The name is Cheli. Any suggestions on where to look?

Chela is a spanish name used as a nn for Consuela..Chele, Chelie, Chellie and Chelle are all nn's for Chelsie..
so my guess is that Cheli is a version of Chelie which is a nn for Chelsie...

Veronica is the Latin form of the Greek name "Bernice", which means "bringing victory".

Spot-on, Daividh. It is derived from "fero" (meaning bring) and "nike" (meaning victory). The original form of the name
was Ferenike.
