I submitted a name from my family tree a few days ago, with pronunciation and meaning. Even included who invented it. The only thing I didn't include was the story of how it was invented. A real person had this name. It's not on the site anywhere else.

I deleted this name.
I searched for a Lity in census records and on Google and I found the person your post refers to, but only as Lyta and Litie, not as Lity.
Per the submissions guidelines (see: http://www.behindthename.com/submit/help.php#rare), the burden of proof rests on you. If you can show me something proving that it's a real name / that's the real spelling, I will be happy to undelete it.
BTW: Thank you for asking this instead of just resubmitting it. A lot of people seem to think if you just resubmit a name over and over, we'll just let it through, but that's not how it works.

I'm the person who typed the above. I thought "name" was where we were supposed to put the name we were posting about, not our username. I got confused there. Looks like I'm logged in on my laptop but not my cell phone.
