Ethne
I was watching the film Four Feathers and there is a character named Ethne pronounced Eth-nee. I searched the name here and it seems that isn't a typical pronunciation (the typical being Enya). The character was set in the UK. I'm wondering if there is more information about this pronunciation?

Here in South Africa it's also pronounced Eth-nee, or it was while it was in use. It's presumably a spelling pronunciation that would look convincing in places where Irish names are not in general use.
