The female name Aleka
I read about the name Aleka (pronounced with a short "e") on the internet. The mother said it was Greek and means "strength". But we all know that name meanings may be invented. So is this true?Or is Aleka a form of the Greek Alexandra, Alexa or the Greek Aliki (not in the BtN database)?"But it’s all right now.
I learned my lesson well.

Aleka is indeed one of the forms of Alexandra used in Greece.Aliki, on the other hand, is a Greek adaptation of the name Alice.

But does it mean "strength"?Does it not mean "defender"?"But it’s all right now.

YEs, to the extent that Alexander does ( erived from áëåîù (alexo) => "to defend, help")

I'm pretty sure it's the Hawaiian form of Alexandra.
