I am trying to find the meaning of some Y names
Hello, I'm new here. I just found this site about a week ago and can't figure out how I've missed it all these years!! Anyway, here are a few Y names that I am trying to find the meanings of. Between 6 websites and 2 babyname books I'm still stumped!
Yoselin -- my first inclination is that it's a form of Jocelyn, but I could be totally wrong
Yaritza
Yareli
Yahaira/Yajaira
Thanks!

Hello!
I also was wondering where the name Yareli comes from and its meaning. Do you know how to pronounce it? In German you'd probably pronounce it yarelee.

Yoselin is a form of Joselin, also spelt Jocelyn, in many European countries J's are english Y's.
I can't help with the other names, but the name Yaritza appears in one of my babyname books as a form of Jarita, an Arabic name meaning "earthern water jug."
And I agree with you about Yoselin, it looks like a form of Jocelyn.
