Aoibhegréine
Can anyone tell me about the Irish name feminine name Aoibhegréine? The meaning is plainly "radiance / smile of the sun", but is it an old name or a modern coinage? Are there any historical bearers?
Thank you!

Have never heard of it, but just wanted to ask how it’s pronounced? As an American I have no idea. EE-fuh-GRIN?

Glad you're thinking that - I haven't got a clue either, but when I saw it I immediately heard it as Evergreen!
I don't speak Irish, but from what I know of the pronunciation rules I think Aoibhegréine should be pronounced "EEV-uh-GRAIN-yuh".
Does anyone have any information on the name?
