A Calf's Mom?
I do business with a guy whose last name is Mumaw (MOO-maw). He's a customer, and I really don't know him well enough to pry into the meaning and origin of his last name.
Any ideas as to its origin?

Revenge of the Mumaw
I never did hear -- why were the cows so pissed off?
Give me his phone number and I'll ring him up 'n' ask him. :)

Try this, Daividh:

Personally, I think it would've been more fun to ring him up. :)

After viewing the Website, I have to snicker becuz I happen to know our Mr. Mumaw's brother is named Joe. Imagine if they hadn't changed the spelling and pronunciation of their last name when they left Germany? He'd have been "Joe Momma"! You could get yerself stabbed in NYC with a name like that...
"Joe Momma!" You bet you don't wanna wear that name in NYC.
I'm giving people LOTS of names today they don't wanna wear in NYC! But, for California, they iz jus' dandee. :)

Maybe, Nan, but if we start that crap and it becomes accepted, we'll put ourselves out of business.
Incidentally, thank you!
