I was surprised because there are so many Korean names on this site.
But there are some wrong informaiton and not commonly used name anymore due to so old-fashiond name.

For example, I found a name "Ha-nui" but there's wrong meaning about it.
This name is not from English word "Honey", but Pure Korean girl's name which means "Wind from the west".
The reason of expression Honey Lee who was a Miss Universe pageant contestant, was to be easily remembered by the people because of her name's similar sound.

There are two types in Korean words and names. One is able to express Chinese character, which is called Sino-Korean(from Chinese caracters, Han-ja). The other is not able to express Han-ja, which is called Pure Korean. it is only able to write Han-geul.
Sino-Korean pronunciation is hard sound and difficult to express English than pure Korean.
That's why many English pronunciation of Sino-Korean names are some different from real sound.
On the contrary, Pure Korean is soft, beautiful sound and easier to write in English.

Korean character is Han-geul, which was made by Korean King in 15th century.
In the past, Korean people borrowed Chinese characters called Han-ja.
But Korean language is totally different from Chinese's, such as grammar structure and origin. It is closer to Japanese language than Chinese.
