Evren is one of the names that I've seen quite often on the opinion board. I've noticed that a number of non-Turkish parents on naming boards seem to have considered it.
Is there a specific reason for Evren being used by people not of Turkish descent? Did a celebrity use it or something?

BUT: Kenan Evren plotted a coup d'etat against the democratic Turkish government led by Süleyman Demirel. This is a strong counterargument against the name, I think.
